What information we use

  • Account and profile: sign-in identifiers, email, display name, account role and the exam preferences or profile information you provide.
  • Learning: practice answers, mock results, progress, mastery, goals and activity records.
  • Beta chats: your messages, tutor replies, conversation context and usage records.
  • Parent and school features: account links, school and class membership, assignments and the progress summaries shared through those features.
  • Payments and referrals: purchase references, amounts, status, plan or credit-pack details, saved-card tokens and limited card details, renewal choices, referral attribution and wallet records.
  • Website and app use: device/browser information, page visits, feature-use events, account identifiers where applicable and diagnostic errors.
  • Messages to us: support emails, privacy requests and waitlist details you submit.

Why we use it

We use account, learning, chat and payment information to provide the service you request: sign-in, practice, progress, tutor replies, purchases and authorised parent or school access.

We use usage and diagnostic information to understand feature use, resolve errors and protect the service. We use support information to respond to your questions and requests.

Services that process information

  • Google Firebase and Google Cloud provide sign-in, hosting, storage and backend services. Google's AI services process messages and relevant conversation or question context to generate Beta replies.
  • Flutterwave processes payments. It receives payment information needed for checkout and renewal. Scorebeta stores payment references and limited saved-card information rather than asking you to email full card details.
  • Google Analytics and Sentry, when configured, process usage and error information. Analytics can connect visits across scorebeta.ng and app.scorebeta.ng. The app's analytics configuration disables advertising personalisation.
  • Google reCAPTCHA, when configured, helps protect requests from automated abuse. External fonts and linked or embedded media may also make requests to their providers.

These services may process information outside Nigeria. Parent and school features also share learner progress with the linked parent or authorised school users.

Cookies and data on your device

The website and app use browser storage for sign-in, preferences, referral attribution and offline features. Analytics may use cookies when enabled. You can manage cookies and stored site data through your browser settings; clearing them can sign you out or remove offline work.

Signing out hides account-specific cached data from other accounts, but does not erase every local copy. Clear Scorebeta's app or site storage on shared devices when you want those copies removed.

Account deletion and retention

Email support@scorebeta.ng from your account's email address with the subject “Account deletion request”.

Deletion requests are handled through support. After a 30-day waiting period following your request, Scorebeta deletes your account and all account data it holds, including profile, learning, chat and Scorebeta payment records.

Flutterwave may retain its own payment data under its privacy notice. Deleting your Scorebeta account does not delete Flutterwave's records. If you used offline features, also clear Scorebeta's stored data on your own device.

Your privacy requests

Contact support to request access, correction, deletion or portability of your personal data, or to raise an objection or restriction request. You can also raise a concern about a child's account.

You can complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission about the handling of your personal data.
